Ask a Question forum→Treatment for Borer Walnut Trees

We have 2 big beautiful old Walnut trees on a small property we have recently acquired here in Australia, and I have noticed some dead branches full of holes, which I'm guessing is some kind of borer beetle. The tress are rather big so poking the borers out with a piece of wire is not practical as I would need a cheery picker to inspect all the branches and the cost would be prohibitive.

Just wondering if anyone has any other treatment suggestions?
Thanking you in advance!
