| Each year for the past three years a growth has emerged on my lawn about this time and lasts for about a week. (please see image) Can please tell me what it is and how to get rid of it. Many thanks, David Rose Please find a couple of close-ups of the problem posted here.    |

| Mr. Rose, Hello & Welcome I'm unable to zoom on your picture so I can't tell if those are small fungi, if they are then you more than likely have a Fairy ring (???). |

| Hi & welcome! If it's only there for a week, it doesn't seem too bothersome to me. Is it the blooms of whatever kind of grass that is with the larger blades? | I feel the same way when an unknown plant intrigues me. I'm curious about your week-weed too! Somebody should recognize. | The link for L. campestris mentions L. multiflora too. I didn't check where either was native because the link that says L. campestris is common in lawns is from the UK and so is the OP. |
