Bonjour JamalBellakhdar! I don't speak, or understand French but I do recognize the word identification. ![]() I wonder if your lovely flowers might be a variety of African Daisy (Osteospermum) ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

Merci Plantladylin pour votre réponse mais il me semblait que les feuilles n'avaient pas la même forme que celleà d'Osteospermum |

From OP Hello to the gardeners community, I ask again your help for the identification of the plant whose photo is attached to this post. Is it Arctotis x hybrida? Thank you in advance - Thank you Plantladylin for your answer but it seemed to me that the leaves did not have the same shape as Osteospermum |

It looks like an Osteospermum to me also. I have both, and I think Arctotis X. The leaves don't match Osteospermum. |

Another name to search along with Arctotis is Venidium . I had lost the tag I had and had to search for the name.![]() The one on the left is Arctotis, on the right is Venidium, with slightly smaller , greener leaves |

Carol, those are lovely! ![]() ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

Thank you! I have since divided the Arctotis and removed the Venidium as they were getting too big for that spot. |

Venidium is apparently now a synonym for Arctotis. ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

Works for me! I can never remember Venidium. |

Oh darn! I was agreeing with the common name African Daisy and didn't check the genus. I HATE common names. ![]() Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |
