I planted some neon green petunias that look like they should glow! I'd never seen those before. I also planted some different type daisies that I can't think of the names but I really liked them. I took some up close photos of my pansies and violas so I'll show those too in a little while.

I saw my first 🐝 bee of the season!!! Actually it was a huge black bumble bee playing with the dandelions. Was kind of scared of it but fascinated by it at the same time. A little/big helicopter lol. I'll be back!!

I think that Iam going to end up filling up my crab grass lawn into an entire garden lol.

I have a little niche in the back where Iam thinking of weeding it and filling it in with wildflowers for the pollinators and 🦅 birds. I think that is my next project!! I am like a robot. I can't stop. Saw on here someone said they used a flat soda box so that they could kneel and garden. That's a good idea. I go from squatting to standing and bending over. Hail Ibuprofen!! But it's fun and so worth it.

I love all the flower pictures. I see you are new to the forums. I love how pretty your plant in picture number 12 is. And 13 too. Do you know what they are?

Beautiful.
Hey, if you remove the spaces between each image, the post would look more like this.

I wonder if your prospective tennants are finding the language of the lease contract confusing? I love that color and need to put more of it into the garden. Maybe some bluejays will find it to be just the thing.

I don't have any bird houses yet. I have morning doves that just pile three sticks and then wonder why their eggs roll away. I want to put up some bird houses too!!! Love the paint job. Every new tenant enjoys a fresh paint job lol. Good luck 🍀!!!

I just planted a red verbena. It took me an hour just to prepare one hole due to the hated crab grass!! Squat, stand up, squat, stand up. Lol. Iam sore. I'll post a picture once it wakes up from the watering and planting. I didn't realize but I kind of smooshed it real close to my white daisies. Well that's it's new house. I know that it is happy out of that pot. Not deep enough soil in it and I watered really early this morning and it had already dried out. Have some more petunias to plant but not today. Gonna rest. But I am so happy with the red against the white!! Hurray!

Greene: Sorry, you posted a pic of an unfinished room, and you were talking about a drywall lifter. I just assumed it was a basement and was attempting to deprecate my lack of fine carpentering skills, as per my posted birdhouse picture. Hang in there!!.

Now, let me try again. Would you want me to help you with any fine carpentry or even drywall project after seeing my attempt at building a birdhouse? (You should see the other three, even worse, but a different colour). LOL.
No Greene, would never confuse you with anyone else! You have frequently been my Mentor and I so appreciate that. Thank you sincerely!!

Got in the red verbena this morning. Had to get everything damp for the third time with the wind just now.

I've been looking up verbena here and don't see much info that I was able to find. I was finding pictures but not info. My inexperience lol. Woah that crab grass took it out of me 😂😀

Does your verbena have fragrant flowers? Fragrant foliage? Its flowers remind me of lantana. I wonder how closely they are related?

No, not fragrant. I haven't been going so good with getting the fragrant plants so far.

I happened to get some stocks at a local (not big box) garden center and I have been very pleased with their fragrance. Not sure they will survive our nearly freezing nights here... But if they do they will be a great treasure in the garden for the season.
