I found this potted plant sitting under some ivy I was pulling up. It looked pretty bad, but after sitting out for a couple of weeks it started to perk up and even bloomed. Can anyone tell me what it might be?![]() PLAYPEN OF GRAPHICS Free Graphics, Free Jigsaw Puzzles |

Clintonia andrewsiana I believes, the red clintonia, I really wish to see this one in person, and love the blue berry. |

The only thing I ever found in the ivy was rattlesnakes. I'd rather find that, whatever it is. I suspect there's a bulb down there. Edited to say: I think Tofi is right. And its a native! http://www.calflora.org/cgi-bi... Wow! That is it. Thank you. I am thinking that it may have been buried there by a squirrel. I am going to watch it for the blue berries to form. I wonder if I should submit the picture to the database or wait for the berries. PLAYPEN OF GRAPHICS Free Graphics, Free Jigsaw Puzzles |
