I have had Beauty of the King since 2017. I was attracted to the shading it inherited from Lavender Blue Baby, unfortunately apparently diluted in intensity by Mrs. John Cooper. It took 5 years to make a decent clump (although, to be fair, I may have started with a large single fan.) This picture from June 27, 2022 shows the instant rebloom (for a decently long bloom season):

Here in 7a, it sometimes blooms almost down in the foliage. Blooms seem to sulk a little in cool weather and take a while to open. Rebloom in warmer weather does better. Pod difficult for me. But a pretty shade that these pictures don't convey well. Some mornings it looks a dusky regal blue-purple.

The round blooms have decent substance, with lightly ruffled petals that overlap like a pinwheel and an edge that can be bubbly and display several shades.

Although evergreen, my clump seemed to cruise just fine through this nasty deep cold/warm wet winter, unlike some others. Maybe it's almost a SEV. Current status:

This is a beautiful daylily which I've grown here in northern Virginia (zone 6b?) for many years. It has rebloomed for me here.
