Okgardens, your garden seems to be full of surprises - what fun! Wish I could help. Porkpal |

Possibly Bletilla striata (Chinese ground orchid) |

It's a new-to-me garden so I don't know many of the plants. The person I inherited it from had quite different taste to me but it's good fun learning to love plants I wouldn't typically choose. porkpal said:Okgardens, your garden seems to be full of surprises - what fun! Wish I could help. |

I would also suggest crocosmia, or other member of iridaceae with corms |

Crocosmia would be my thought. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |

It looks like Crocosmias (Crocosmia) to me also but you will know for certain when it blooms. The Chinese Ground Orchid (Bletilla striata) has broader leaves: ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |
