Sitting here watching it rain (about 36 degrees) and waiting for the snow. Wisconsin (and others) are forecast to get up to 24 inches of snow over the next few days. My crocus, tulips, and iris are all coming up. I'd like to clean out the beds, but I guess they'll be covered for another week. Even the grass is starting to green. Sheesh! I think we'll be going straight to summer with only a day or two of spring.

Sounds like you are nearer spring than we are, nothing here is greening up we still have a snow bank in the front yard. Today we had rain, tiny hail, sleet and the weather folks say snow is on the way. Seems like we are in a weather pattern that is not letting spring start. We know it will get here late and as you said likely go right into summer.

Good luck you guys!!! I have never heard of an entire season being skipped. Wow. I've been in the valley in California since I was five. My husband was from VA. He says I don't know what a real storm is. I have only been to the snow a handful of times.

Hang in there!!😀

Don't complain too much. It could be worse.
Here I am enjoying a lovely blue-sky day, getting attacked by gnats and I receive a severe weather alert. Tomorrow afternoon there will be 100% chance of flooding rains, damaging winds with possible tornados, large hail also possible. Yep, that's spring all right.

We used to be in tornado country. It seems to have slipped south. You can keep them! They did their annual tornado siren tests here yesterday. Tis the season. Wish you well.

skits said:d their annual tornado siren tests here yesterday.

The funny thing about those sirens is that when it is actually pouring down rain, with high winds...no one can hear the sirens. We have the sirens here and I would have to go stand outside...in that horrible dangerous weather...just to be able to hear the warnings.

Plus I live less than 1/4 mile from railroad tracks...how can I tell an approaching train from an approaching tornado? Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing Rolling on the floor laughing

Nope. Snow today and tomorrow. More snow/rain on Wed. More snow on Saturday if the forecasters are to be believed. Airport is closed until at earliest 7pm. 350 flights cancelled. Playoff hockey team diverted to Duluth MN. May be our heaviest April snowfall ever. They gave up saying 6" as minimum because everyone has already seen that much. I had to push against the snow to get my front door open.

Spring sprung suddenly the last few days. We went from highs in the 40s to highs in the 80s. My dafodils all went into bloom at the same time. The early, mid and late ones...
