Hi,
I've just spotted the dreaded Japanese knotweed in my garden.
Have you ever tried to eradicate it yourself ?
Should I try or should I get professional help?
It is only a small patch.

Name: Philip Becker
Fresno California (Zone 8a)
Don't let it go to seed.
Dig it out, roots and all after cutting seed/buds heads off.
Sift soil to get roots/seed/stolens, etc.
I'd sift it in driveway, or preferably trash all.
Anything i say, could be misrepresented, or wrong.

Have you done this yourself without spreading it?
