I've got a feeling that heather with lavender interspersed would be nice along a fence. Is this something that folks have done? Do they work together? My garden is 150 feet long on a New York City street. Lavender would attract with it's wonderful scent, but would heather work with it. Any ideas?

I've never grown heather. This looks like a good guide

There are more kinds and sizes than I thought, but maybe only a few commonly sold locally-?
Lavendar is common and I don't think difficult.

Plant it and they will come.
