I just bought a bird of paradise plant today, I'm reading in the net and got confused, please I need help as bellow :
Location : Houston TX
1- watering: once a week ? Keep it humid or dry before watering it again ?
2- fertilizer : 10-10-10 fertilizer? Or what is the best for this plant please ! Also how to use the fertilizer? And how often

|I'm assuming your BofP is in a pot and indoors. Let me know if that is incorrect.
Indoors it should be right in front of a sunny window. Unless you moved it into a large pot, then it is best to water it very thoroughly every week or as soon as the surface of the soil is dry. Always add enough water so that a small amount trickles through the drain holes. With this plant, it is better to err on the side of too much rather than too little water.
Low humidity is not a problem as long as the soil is kept moist.
Fertilizer doesn't make much difference. Use the 10-10-10 once per month at half strength.
