Hi,

I was going out of a corner store when an old lady approached me and asked me if I wanted to buy a small tree, I did to help her,

Could you tell me what plant this is?, if it needs direct sun light, much or little water, etc

Thank you for your help

It would love it. Please add your location (state, city) to your profile (the little blue figure in the upper right hand corner) to allow others to help you with any questions you may have about the Jade or any other questions. Mine gave me flowers at a very sunny window but yours is a different jade than mine.

No, it's not. It's Portulacaria afra.

It should require about the same care as Crassula (Jade). I have one that remains outside year round and since we have high humidity here, I don't water it very often.

You're welcome. Portulacaria afra is sometimes called "jade" or "miniature jade" but it's not closely related to jades (Crassula). The resemblance is superficial, probably due to convergent evolution.

It's one of my favorite plants.
Keep going!
