A bit more information would be helpful, Like time of bloom, early season, middle of the season, late season. How tall does it get, does it rebloom in the fall. That data will give us some idea as to some suggestions that you might try to find and plant next to it to see if they are identical. It's nearly impossible to id and iris from pictures only, especially if it's a common colored one. Good Luck.

ok it is apx 15" tall
it is about 15 years old and only blooms 1 time in the early spring
generally has 3 buds ,

There are 363 tall bearded irises that are white selfs with a yellow beard in the NGA database and 458 with a white beard. This one is going to be difficult to ID.

Hello Sharon. Is the base of the foliage purple? 15 inches... is that from ground to top of bloom? Does is have a strong fragrance? Every detail helps to narrow it down. Smiling

wow ok yes to the smell , it has a very nice smell
it is 15" from the ground to the top of the flower
solid green all the way to the ground
I had noooooo idea the task I was asking
I am as you can see very new to named irises.
I have had some for years, but now I am trying to
sort them out . Thank You! Confused
