Hi. I have a plant that is growing mold ? I changed the soil a few different times and washed thr roots. Still mold comes back. Now i have a a new addition to mz plants ans thats soil is growing mold too. I dont water too often. I dont know what the problem is. Help? |

If it's not an issue with the soil staying too wet, it may be the soil itself ... you may have purchased a bad bag of soil that contained mold spores. ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

Does the plant get sun and good air flow? |

I would spread the moldy soil raked on the lawn and let sunlight and microbes cure the problem. Nature knows how to deal with that kind of problem. |

To make sure you aren't using contaminated potting mix, mix together 4 parts of plain peat moss and one part of Perlite and use that as your potting mix. It would help if you posted a photo so we could see what kind of plant you have and how it is potted.
