78 inside. Had to water. Trying to keep those annuals through the heat if I can. And of course it's windy.

On another note, when we moved in there was what looked like rose root stock my grandma used to call it. There were a few pointy canes and my husband didn't want to dig it out for me lol. He said it's probably old. So I pruned it back to a somewhat pleasing shape. I didn't even take care of it. Well I started watering it this year as it was at the end of my daffodil bed. So I threw some fertilizer on it. Now it's a monster. Tons of buds. I think it's root stock and the intentioned rose died. As there is a thick cane cut off to the ground. But now I like it. It has an interesting scent. I'll show it to y'all.

I'll post a picture of the entire rose too.

Or maybe you recognize it or can be recognize as root stock. Either way it's here to stay. It is healthy and a million miles away from the three or four sticks that were there when we moved in three years ago. I fully was going to rip it out. My husband saved it. Now it's got sentimental value. I think it's a climber. Will have to figure out now to get stakes in the cars lol.

Mindi, is it sitting at the edge of a walkway? Just wondering if anyone has gotten stuck by a thorn, lol!

I do agree that it looks like a root stock rose. It is good that it has a scent and I bet it is beautiful when in full bloom.

Noones been stuck yet lol. It is right on the corner of a walkway that goes from your vehicle to the front door lol. I pruned it in such a way that it hasn't quite been able to reach out and grab people. And that was a long time ago. Luckily this rose doesn't have really big thorns. When it's pruning time I'll take that into consideration. Kids cut corners and don't pay attention and I don't want a rose in their face. It is pretty blooming it's little heart ❤️ out lol.
