I managed to get 18 hosta moved off of the hillside today and planted on flatter ground! I still have over 40 more to move, but I'm sure I won't get them all done this year.

Why off the slope?

I'm putting them on a slope.

It's just getting to be too much to care for on that steep, sandy hillside. I'm just moving them off of the steepest section to flatter ground. Then I'll move the vinca vine around in that section for ground cover. I don't think I'm going to miss caring for that section at all.

I'm finally seeing plants in Ottawa, though some, including second divisions of of plants that are unfurled, are still little pips.

Here are some from May 17.
