Dear expert, I'd like to find some low growing shrubs or evergreen perennial to plant in small spaces, e.g. 2'X2'. It has to be deer resistant and thrive in 4 ~ 5 hour of afternoon sun. I already have a couple of Little Princess Spiraea. Thanks for your advise! Betty |

You might find some compact forms of pieris or azalea. Or you can search the database by characteristics and enter however many factors you are interested: shrub, evergreen, partial sun, your zone, color of bloom. I have a difficult time with the height field, it is too inconsistent for me to get much use out of it as a search parameter. Once you have a likely list, though, you can do more detailed research. If you open the database entry, there will perhaps be photos of the plant, and if you are real lucky, landscape photos showing the plant in situ with other plants. I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned. |

There are lots of roses that fit in that size area also. |
