Probably a lot of people, especially those in warmer climates are seeing scapes, but I just wanted to list a few. Lillian's John Falck which was planted less than a month ago has a scape, and Lillian's Vapor Trail has at least five. The most scapes are on Tribal Council which has seven and a couple of the buds are showing color now. The Stellas have a number of scapes, and what is really interesting now are the seedlings from the 2016 planting. So many of them now have scapes. All the Katherine Caldwell/Dragonfly Dawn seedlings have scapes, there are scapes on the reverse, Dragonfly Dawn/Katherine Caldwell cross; scapes on Dragonfly Dawn/Thundercat cross; the My Heart Belongs To Daddy/unknown cross; Mister Butters/Mint Octopus cross; Small World Snow Owl/Malaysian Market cross. I'll stop now, but I can hardly wait for these to bloom to see how the kids look. There are more, but I have to take off, so there will be more in the future. Oh, I think the newly planted Child Of Atlantis actually has three scapes, I didn't get a good look , but must do so tonight.

Should be some good ones from those, I am looking forward to seeing them. How exciting to be seeing so many. I only see scapes here on Dumortieri, which is rather late for it. It is often in bloom by now, scales only showed up a couple of days ago.

I went out this evening while there was still quite a bit of light and I see that our first bloomer will be Miss Victoria. It will open tomorrow or the day after, I think. We have had quite a lot of cool days and nights, a couple of days ago our nighttime low was 34 degrees--we could hardly believe it. But tomorrow we should be in the high 60s or maybe even into low 70s. I have been wrong about scape count. I found nine scapes on Sweet Seneca Cameo, a bonus plant from the Roods. It has been an excellent daylily for us, quite vigorous in growth and it blooms profusely. We get a good bloom cycle in spring and after that, it rests and starts again in fall, I think it had blooms on it in October. Child Of Atlantis does have three scapes, Entwined In The Vine and Adventures In Oz have one apiece. These daylilies from Abundant Daylilies are a new order and they have only been in the ground a very short time, a real surprise that they would come on so quickly. There are quite a number more with scapes, won't try to name them all, but it is fun to go out and check and see how many new ones I can find every day.

Won't have any scapes until late June, but I DO have lots of little seed sprouts! Just waiting for two crosses to sprout now;

Doesn't it feel great to see all the green and flower colors of spring? Lovey dubby Hurray!

I have scapes popping up everywhere, especially in the seedling beds. I am so excited thinking about my seedlings of last summer and what the future holds in my new beds Smiling Smiling
