My cactus Xen has been in danger for quite some time. I do not know if they are dying or if they are already dead. They are shriveled and white. I no longer know what to do except for hoping for the best. Please,if anyone knows how to help, let me know what to do.

IMO I think that they look dead. But cactuses in deserts can change shape to conserve water. You can try repotting it with some good soil and watering it regularly to see if it miraculously perks up or just buy another one. Just my opinion.

Good luck!!

I think your plant used to be Acanthocereus tetragonus 'Fairy Castles' complete with a strawflower "hair-do". Its dead. Sorry! Crying

Thank you,I don't think that this was my fault, they were about five years old and the winter took a toll on them. There are some green places but they may fade out soon.

You had them outside?? These cactus are tropical - they can't handle ANY frost.

It happens to the best of us. Five years was a good run. I guess if you know that it is going to be cold perhaps move it into a warmer spot.
