Thread OP
Hello! I am trying to grow a variety of herbs and veggies in my apartment in NYC. I know that the basil grows successfully here because I did so last year. However, the seeds in the packet I just opened seem to be ruined and I am not sure if they are usable. They were all lumped together in what looked like a dried gel and fungus (white cotton looking material). Can I still use these seed and grow good basil, or should I return the seeds and request the company send me a new batch? I really don't want to wait two weeks to see if they will germinate to find out that the seeds were bad and I have to start over. Thanks for your help.
