Certain beds are starting to take off. Others that the irises had a tough time over the winter are still struggling. I will have lots of beds to "redo" over the summer; like 3/4 of what I have; which would be like 200 feet by 4 feet. No fun at all.

We had beautiful weather over the weekend; yet I got ZERO yard work done. It is how it has been going for me lately. Oh well. I did do a "Walk-about" with the dog (she did NOT need the company, but my excuse to see what was going on) and I am happy to report that the well established "fans" are booming! I have 10 cultivares with buds, mostly below 5 but three in the double digits.

With temps forecast this week to get into the mid to upper 80's this week, I should be getting some blooms VERY soon.

Diggles with 10.

Tessie The Tease with 11.

Rare Edition with 14!

Sorry for the poor cell phone photos. It's a busy weekend for me and I'm behind on other threads. I hope everyone's bloom season is coming along!

Scott ~ That's wonderful! What a cheerful opening to your iris bloom season! Thumbs up

I guess I will have to get a small collection of littles to fill in when the reticulatas leave off. I have just one little (NOID) in bloom now.

I look forward to seeing what else you will have in bloom. Thank you for sharing your pictures with us.
