Saw this flower in a planter at a model home in north Texas. What is the hairlike plant with the red/pink flowers on it?![]() |

It's hard to tell: Gaura maybe? |

I can't see a close up of the flowers but I wonder if it's a variety of Oenothera? Two photos from our database for comparison: ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |

Its looks like Gaura to me also. Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost President: Orchid Society of Northern Nevada Webmaster: osnnv.org |

It really does look like Oenothera lindheimeri, commonly called Gaura and Whirling Butterflies. ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |
