I was visiting my Grandson a few weeks ago, in Washington (state), and saw this beautiful bush. Can anyone tell me what it is? I want to find out if I can grow it in my 5a zone (Wisconsin).

Looks like a Rhododendron to me. There are some that will grow in your zone with some protection (beside a building or fence). Like azaleas, they are picky about soil and light.

Thank you ALL. I'll have to look into it to see the needs a Rhododendron will have for my zone. Thanks for the link. I will check it out. Hurray!
