Is there a way to do a search in my plant list for a specific plant? If not, would it be difficult to add this? Some times I want to look up something I have, but it's a bit time consuming to scroll through the whole list, or maybe I can't remember the latin name off the top of my head to use the "view only genus:" box. Laur, here's what I do. I first limit my search to one of my categories. I use type of plant, you use garden bed. So, limit your search to your Knick Knack garden and update the view. Then do a Control-F (find) and in the little box that comes up, type in e.g., Hemer to find all your daylillies in this bed. At the bottom of the screen a small box appears showing how many 'hits' there are and you can use the arrow buttons to scroll from one to the next. I found that searching the whole list is a bit cumbersome because it only searches the first page (first 500 entries). Just when I think I've somehow lost data, I remember to go to page 2. So now I do an initial limit by choosing (in the above example) my Perennial category. Hope I've been clear and it works for you. Thanks Deb - that works for me. If I can just remember the keyboard shortcut - I've never been one to use them much and so they don't really stay in my brain much. More costumes, less uniforms! |

And I resist mouse clicking. Guess we all have our typing styles. I want to live in a world where the chicken can cross the road without its motives being questioned. |
