Is this a weed or a plant?

Welcome!

All weeds are plants but some are more desirable than others. Smiling

Your weed/plant is a tree - the leaves remind me of an apricot.

I knew someone would say that about weeds being plants 😂 thank you for the reply! I wasn't sure if it would be a tree; it has woody stems but the leaves go from top to bottom and it's about 2 feet tall or so.

Apricot leaves are alternate.
The plant in the pic has opposite leaves.
