Thread OP
Hello! I have this lovely plant at work that was given to me as a gift. I want to it bring home but I am scared of my cat taking a bite and getting sick. Does anyone know the name of this plant and if its toxic?

Don't chance it.
Most house plants are poisonous.

It eminds me of Bloodleaf (Iresine diffusa f. herbstii)

Many plants are toxic to cats and/or dogs so unless you can get a confirmation on the exact identity, I'd hesitate to take it home, especially if your kitty tends to chew on plants. Here's the ASPCA listing for Iresine: https://www.aspca.org/pet-care...

I agree Not a houseplant in my zone, but great color in shady spots. Very easy to start from cuttings.
