...I can't bring this up with a search; I've given up wading through 46 pages to see if it's sitting in there somewhere.

Do I slot this into the generic Sedum entry or is it eligible somewhere else perhaps?

Thanks.

No need to ever wade through 46 pages. Smiling This hadn't been added to the database yet, probably because it seems to be available only in Australia. Here's a new entry for it:

Well, this is weird. This looks just like one I was getting ready to post in the ID forum. I've had it for maybe 10 years. It grows completely flat to the ground. Could it be same? Should I go ahead and post over there?

Not unless it came here from Australia. I think you'll have to post it in the Plant ID Forum.

@quercusnut Kyle I also grow one that is akin to yours, to date also growing tight to the soil. It's a very slow grower. I've some tiny cuttings and they've "taken". I don't have a name for it though.

The Sedum, Green Mound though suggests its tendency is to grow as a mound so there's the differences. I understand your quandary Smiling When I photographed the Green Mound at a nursery I thought it might've been the same also and was kind of pleased I'd found the name source. Not to be...... Close, but not close enough.

Yours looks like one of the S. makinoi types.

It does look like it. I have Ogon also which is much less hardy than the one in my photo. I can barely get Ogon to survive my winters whereas the other is very hardy and spreads pretty vigorously. Makes me wonder. Any ideas?

Siting for 'Ogon' is crucial. I could not keep it alive until I finally planted it under my mimosa tree. It is happy as can be now. They do like water in dry times, and soil that does not pool with excess water. So good drainage and water in the dry season. Also bright light but not full hot sun.

I have no trouble with Ogon in the summer. It does get partial shade and does really well. It barely survives winter. I lost one planting completely this last winter and only a tiny piece came back in another planting. Fortunately I also keep it in a pot and overwinter indoors.
