This little clipping found its way home from a big box store, a gift from the cashier;), but no id on the original container.

Looks a lot like Corpuscularia taylorii in the link below this but has spikes and pinkish tips. Any ideas?)

I can't ID it, but that does not look like a good container to grow it in. A small, shallow pot with a drain hole and porous soil would help prevent death by over watering.

I agree! This is a little "drying area" until new clippings are ready to plant in one of my rock gardens;). Filled with rocks only, I never water these tiny pots! But thanks for your input porkpal!)

Try comparing with the Oscularia. That may be what you have there.
