Is this a fruit tree? in the Plant ID forum

Hi everyone,

There is a plant growing in the backyard that was planted by the previous home owners. It maybe a fruit tree but not sure.

Can you help us identify it? I have tried to take picture of the leaves since there is not much else at this stage (it is only about 2 ft)
