Hi Joanne. I have been seed starting in my basement for over 10 years. It is not complete yet but here is my new seedstarting room in the unused coal bin area. I'll have a sink, work bench, storage and will move my PVC seedstarting shelves in there. Until then I'll be starting seeds on the PVC shelves under the stairs. ![]() ![]() |

hahahaha, nice chris and it must be nice to have a basement or some have greenhouses. Since my kids and wife never use the kichen table for eating on and decide to use it as storage, that area holds all of my starts now. lol good luck with the on-going projects.... |

Thanks Onewish. Took a long time to get it right. Lot's of years working, saving and paying mortgages until they were all done. Something for everyone to look forward to in their VERY SENIOR years. We just weren't ready to downsize and go south after retirement. No room to garden and no young people and children in those southern adult communities. |
you need all that space for your family & flowers!!! |

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Once my seeds sprout I am going to plant them in two tier tire "pots". This type of planting will be my frst for my gourds. We'll see how it goes. WeSSeL LaVonne All About Gourd, Living With Diabetes, Decorated Gourds, Jams & Jellies, Crafted Items |

Hi Lavonne (Dorothy) Welcome!! Show us some pictures of your "tire pots" when you get a chance. Thanks Teri |
Hi, LaVonne Welcome! Your gourd growing sounds interesting--the tire pots are especially intriguing. I hope you will be able to keep us posted of your progress. |
