Hello,

I saw this iris in a local park in Encinitas California, zone 10a. Does anyone know what type it is? Thank you, Carly.

I am leaning towards Iris Macrosiphon because the white patch does not touch the edges of the falls.

It appears to be the wrong zone in California for Macrosiphon: http://www.pacificcoastiris.or...

Even though Encinitas is out of the zone of douglasii, it is one that is planted out of it's natural zones as a "native" plant in parks.. Also, it crosses with several other native species..
