I've been waiting for a better formed bloom on Flash Of Brilliance, but I guess this is as good as it's going to get this year. Shrug!

Some variation from bud to bud, some have a line down the falls others don't.

breathtaking beauties, tom. especially loved the ones you need to peer into the centers to see the depth of color such as 'my ladys manor',' 'iced', 'catch my breath', and even' strawberry shake'.

So many beautiful irises! I am studiously NOT adding any names to my "want" list.

Thanks for taking the time to share these beauties with us, Tom!

After last years disaster with hail, it's been nice. I'm on the down swing now, only a couple more to open, and the heavy rain last night most likely took some out.

Finally stopped drizzling long enough to get some pictures without a ton of water on them. Here's All Night Long. 5 years here and only the second time it's bloomed.

And now the piece de resistance the grand finale The last of my bloomers. I happily, yet sadly present to you Painted Shadows. What a nice way to end the season. Lovey dubby

It's been a nice bloom season for me, especially after last years hail storm. I did suffer lots of loses due to rot, but I don't want that to overshadow the other nice blooms that I got to see. I did't take pictures of every iris I own, I just don't have that kind of time, but I tried to hit the high spots. I have a bunch ordered for next year, and I will find room for them, but it means there will be lots of Tommy Boxes in the mail. I will also have my annual iris sale through the months of July and August, and of course all the extras will go to our clubs annual sale on July 13 through the 15th in Madison, just in case some people near by want to go. They sell everything for $5. Some good deals to be had.
Thanks to everyone who shared my joy and pictures, and to those who gave my pictures the Thumbs up and even some Acorn 's. Smiling You guys are the best!

Awwww, it ended with Painted Shadows. So darn pretty. Just found today that mine succumbed to rot. So glad it lives on elsewhere.

Thanks for the views of your garden, for the dialogue, and also for those Tommy boxes. Please share any photos you still have tucked away. Sad to think the season is ending .... Sad

I have noticed a lot short stalks on mine this year, as well. Has to be from this whacky cold spring. Thank You!
