One question, Tom....I never see any leafspot in your beds...do you not HAVE any ? Or, do you run around with a small brush and some green paint, before you take the pictures?

I usually get leaf spot about the time I'm getting a lot of irises blooming, Just to mess up the pictures, but not this year for some reason. Crazy because I have never treated for it, and it's been unusually wet most of the spring. I guess it's going to arrive late this year. I haven't seen any of it this year at all yet. I'm sure now I'll go out tomorrow and see it all over the place. Rolling on the floor laughing

On another note, I found one more iris bloom today, Silk Road, I'll have to go take a picture of it. Smiling I am glad because I can use it on some crosses now. Well, actually I already did. Whistling

Well, It seems I've lied again. Whistling Legerdemain opened last night. *Blush* the FFO is not up to par, so I'll try for a picture with a later bloom.
But here's a picture of my first lily to bloom. It's a NOID, but very fragrant.

I am so impatient, I want to take pictures of the first blooms, and always the later ones are the nicest. Electric Candy is so pretty, I couldn't resist another picture. Wish I had waited and not posted the earlier one.

Tom - you are certainly allowed to keep posting the same iris in your own thread! Hilarious! Hilarious! And since it is such a great iris we all love seeing it again. Smiling

Tom, I'm really happy that you had a better bloom season this year. You deserved that after last year. Smiling

Many thanks for sharing your photos. Hurray! Hurray! Hurray!

Tom, I think its mandatory that you post photos of the first bloom for your records and then post any subsequent blooms that outstrip the first one. Can't let the iris get a bad rep by not having its best photo offered. Thumbs up

Tom ~ Listen to Bonnie! I found that photographic records are essential for me, as I do not always have my notepad and pen in my pocket.

Thank You! Bonnie! You are right, the first blooms are not necessarily the prettiest blooms.

Either are the very last blooms. Before yesterday (and today's) heat, I had some stalks squeeze out one more bloom. Oh were they ugly and deformed! Hilarious!

Ooooh, melty ones. I know that type. So depressing when you get to the end of the season and you look forward to a last bloom, then it opens and you think "yikes!!"

Tom, that last one is a splendid photo of Electric Candy. This year was the first for it in my garden, and was a knockout! I used it a lot in my crossings.
