I am looking for help in deciding which tree will be the right one for the spot I have here in Zone 4
I have a neighbor to the North that has a large two story addition that I'd like to block with a tree or shrub.
In both photos is a red star. That is my ideal location as it should block the most of the neighbor's garage while keeping the green rectangle open as a trailer pathway.
What tree would you recommend that I can plant fairly close to the garage, yet can be trimmed where I can walk under it, and is tall enough to block 2 stories?

Hi and welcome to NGA!

Silver Maple, Acer saccharinum, is one to consider.
