Its a Jade plant, Crassula ovata.
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and proclaiming...."WOW What a Ride!!" -Mark Frost

Jade plants are extremely easy to care for.

Give it as much possible light as you can. A south-facing window is ideal, or during the summers outside in sheltered location where it won't be rained on.

Don't water it until the soil is bone-dry all the way through. The #1 problem people have with jades is over-watering the and killing them slowly through rot.
Keep going!
