I was one of the first 300 contributors to the plant database! Region: Pacific Northwest Region: California
so this is the critter forum, i have not seen it before
i am lucky and have a yard that supports a lot of them
there are at least 4 specie of Salamanders here
and i finally got to see my 4th specie yesterday (Taricha granulosa granulosa)

Your salamander is lovely! Thanks for posting. I have yet to find a salamander on my property, but I'm sure they are out there, they are just hiding from me.

it takes a pretty wet climate for them and we get 70 to 100 inches a year here amongst the Redwoods
