I planted two apple trees, two peach trees, and two pear trees in the fall. They are flourishing but I am reading about pruning and there is so much contradictory advice about it. Some experts say to prune all but leading branches, while others say leave them alone unless a branch looks like it is going at a weird angle or blocks another branch.

Advice?

Oh and the trees were about 2 feet tall when we planted them, and one pear tree and one peach tree already have fruit starting! I didn't think they were supposed to fruit the first year after planting. Although maybe I was supposed to pinch the blossoms?
