I am looking to buy Golden Gate rose plant, bareroot or own root. So far I was not able to locate this. Palatine has this but I missed their shipping time line. Closed for order. Please let me know where can I find this. I am located in Denver, CO USA ![]() |

Unfortunately, I can't help you unless you can find a supplier other than Palantine. Bought four from Palantine in last two years. Just unbelievably beautiful hardy yellow climbers, hugh blooms, for the chilly zones, and warmer, virtually insect/disease free. Check it out on Google to see who is offering it on your side of the border now. Cheers! |
HelpMeFind.com has three pages of sources listed, and several of the sources are in the United States. http://www.helpmefind.com/rose... |

Jack01: There is a strong possibility that Wallymart might offer this Climber! |

Thanks everyone for response. Last year in July I purchased Golden Gate from Rogus Nursery from Oregon. They sold as own root in 3" X 3" X 6" pot It grew twice its size till October then went through the winter. All my other 15 roses came back to life in April except the Golden Gate and still do not see any life. I do cover roses properly through winter and keep hydrated, so I was surprised that it did not come back I like to replace this rose. Currently this rose is not available through any nursery in US, bare root or potted. Palantine will have potted soon , but cannot export to US once potted. Guss I have to wait another year to get bare root from Palantine |

Jack01: Certainly worth the search, as it is a sensational beautiful yellow climber, extremely hardy and virtually pest free. I have three. There is another possibility: In Canada, Wallymart sells roses grown out by Panamnurseries, and Cl. Golden Gate is in their lineup to sell to retailers and box stores. I believe the grower mentioned, also sells into the US. Worth a look if you have a Wallymart anywhere near you. All the best! |

I finally located Golden Gate rose. The Antique Rose Emporium had it in stock. I called them on May 14th, 2018 , placed an order. It was actually there last week for 2018 season for shipping. I was lucky that I called on right time. They sold rose as own root in 2 gallon pot. Rose arrived on May 18th, 2018 on a hot day. Healthy plant, great packaging .I Planted the rose same evening , watered well after planting. Here is picture of 1st flower on June 4th, 2018 I have pinched remaining buds, I will keep pinching buds through this year so plant will put its energy on growth and good root system development. ![]() |
Congratulations! That's a healthy and beautiful rose, and your plans for encouraging its growth and root system sound ideal. |
