Please, if I put a member on my 'ignore' list, will they still be able to send me Treemails? Thank you. Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith" |

Greene, I believe that you can take them off the ignore list. Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed. |
I think greene doesn't want to get tree-mails from "ignored" members. |

Thank you, Zuzu, yes that is correct. ![]() So, do you know the answer? Would an 'ignored' person still be able to send a Treemail to the person who has opted to ignore them? ![]() Sunset Zone 28, AHS Heat Zone 9, USDA zone 8b~"Leaf of Faith" |
I'm sorry. I don't know the answer. I just wanted to correct the impression that you might want the tree-mails. This is a question for @dave to answer. |

I'm pretty sure that an ignored person can NOT send you tree mail. |

Greene: I do not have a definitive answer, but I do note that when a tree-mail comes to me, it comes in my regular, in my case, Yahoo Mail. At that point, I think I could just click on "Spam" and most likely emails from that particular member would be stopped from delivery to me, not that I have ever wanted to carry out such an action. Hope this helps! You are no dummy by a long shot on computer savvy! Try it. PS. I might never know how you resolve this issue, as I may be "blocked"! Hope not. Cheers! |
Okay, I tested and confirmed. A member who is on your ignored list can NOT send you a new treemail. They might be able to reply to any existing tree mails you may already have with them. |

You receive notifications of a treemail to your email address. Markings these as spam just marks the garden.org notifications as spam, NOT messages from that member. You may end up missing emails you want if you do this. They may be separate, but they can be connected. I'm notified by e-mail each time I receive a tree-mail here. It's an option we all can choose in our site preferences. |

Unless, of course, you have your preferences set to alert you by email (at Yahoo or wherever) when you get a Tree-mail. This is item 3 on your preferences. You can see I have this option turned off. ![]() |
