I have tried to use the Plants Database to identify various irises on several occasions, but I never get any results, even when my specification are rather vague. What am I doing wrong? |

Can you be a little more specific regarding the steps you take when trying to search the Plants Database? It might help some of us get a better idea of what's going on. Thanks. |

LynnDel, you can post photos here on our Plant Identification Forum: https://garden.org/forums/view... where other members may recognize the particular Iris cultivar or offer suggestions as to which it might be. ~ I'm an old gal who still loves playing in the dirt! ~ Playing in the dirt is my therapy ... and I'm in therapy a lot! |
One thing that might be tripping you up is the fact that the search engine only shows results that match every parameter you've entered. For example, if you check the box for Tall Bearded Iris and the box for Border Bearded Iris in the same search, you will get no results because no entry is listed as both a Tall Bearded Iris and a Border Bearded Iris. This article: https://garden.org/ideas/view/... may clear up some questions about searching the Irises Database. If it doesn't help, please give me some examples of the types of things you are trying to search for and we'll see if we can figure out what the problem may be. |
