I was given a VA Pine seedling at a home show recently . The folks who gave it to me promised me it looks like a Christmas tree. I just spent some time on Google, and the christmas tree site says VA Pine is commonly used as a Christmas tree. BUT every other link I've followed tells me it winds up looking like these tall, telephone pole pine trees that are so prevalent down here in Georgia. I don't know who to believe. If it's going to spend its entire life looking like a Christmas tree, I want it in my front yard. If it's going to wind up looking like the pines that I need to have taken out of my yard, I want it in a totally different spot. Can anyone advise? Thanks! I meant to show you this before and forgot to look for it. This tree has good color but does not seem to have good form. Susan In the spring, at the end of the day, you should smell like dirt.....Margaret Atwood |
