Thanks for posting that second pic of Rum is the Reason, Mary. I know a thing or two about photo editing and can accept some increase in contrast, saturation and white balance that is a bit off (and adjust for seeing this when viewing a vendors photograph), but I'm most often unable to make sense of Schreiner's photographs. It's like looking on eBay at some Chinese fantasy plant that does not exist in the real world.

Never ordered directly from Schreiner's (although I guess technically it wouldn't be impossible to do so here in Sweden, as they do export rhizomes), but it seems that overall their irises are hardier for my conditions than many other hybridizers, so this I like. Now if this is because only the hardiest and best would be available from European vendors, or if their irises really are hardier for wet and cold areas I don't know. Shrug!
