Although not often cultivated, most of these cacti have spectacular growth and flowering characteristics. I have devoted a web page to the cultivation of the numerous species I have grown and continue to grow (including many photographs) at:

I devoted most of my growing resources toward the germination of a lot of species on your list @jamesicus , such as arrojadoa, uebelmannia, discocactus, melocactus......
I hope youre keen on sharing your growing experience with someone less successful Hurray!
