I have a fish tank that has not been used, it has leds and I will put a heater on the bottom of the tank. Can I use this for a zinnia plant? And do I have to put the lid higher up because the light might be to bright and the lid only has two holes? Of corse this would be temporary. The light is 7.875w.

It should be fine. But I wouldn't use the heater.
