Thread OP
Help! About a month ago I planted some forget me nots, and in the past few days I have realized that some white spots have made their way into a few leaves.
Upon closer inspection it looks as if the top part of the leaf has been eaten away, leaving the white, thin membrane exposed.

Does anyone know if this is a bug or some sort of sickness?

First off, welcome to the NGA!

The leaf that is damaged is a cotyledon. It isn't a true leaf and will die & fall off pretty soon. Not sure what is causing the damage but the true leaves look fine!

Second, are you sure those are forget me nots? The leaves don't look right to me. Here's a picture of mine from last year.

Your seedlings look familiar but I can't place them. Maybe Impatiens?
