This pops up in my yard and it looks just like normal St augustine grass but with these little seed looking things. Does anyone know what this is?

I've never heard St. Augustine grass/sod referred to as Crab Grass; my Florida lawn consists of St. Augustine Grass (Stenotaphrum secundatum 'Floratam') ; a widely popular lawn grass here in Florida.

Lin is correct, it's not the same as crab grass. Crab grass is Digitaria.
