I use Bug-B-Gone granules.
For organic 'control' method, some pieces of old hose on ground overnight. In early morning, pick up hose's, and shake earwigs into some soapy water. It may take several days.

They bite plants off right at soil level. Grumbling

Ok then. Going to Orchards for some things and earwig killer. I'm planning on planting Zinnias and I have looked forward to this for awhile. Iam not going to have pincher bugs eat them!!

😀

Do they really pinch?

I don't know if they actually pinch, they look sort of soft. But I find them so creepy looking I cannot bear to let one try it.

They do pinch, they loved my peony's, so what I would do, after cutting them I would dunk the flowers in a pail of water to drown the pesky things. They love dampness so watch if you lay a wet towel down Angry

I found a lot while I was weeding. They creep me out so I would just scoop them and some soil and fling them away. I want to take care of them before I plant seeds

This is a great recipe to bait ear wigs:
Small plastic cups
Big bottle of cooking oil
Big bottle of soy sause
Big bottle of syrup
-
I buy the cheapest of these products
Then hide the cups around the garden and in places the earwigs hang.
Put about 1.5 oz of each in the cup
Empty the cups and refill as ness.
I find if you do this at the first sighting of them it will help control the population.
How it works:
Sweet attracts , oil makes it so they can't climb out and the soy kills them
