Hello, Would somebody be able to identify this succulent ground-cover? It spreads at a fast rate, is very drought tolerant, it doesn't get really any supplemental water. Which means here in California it can go almost a year with only sparse rain showers. It has a huge burst of bloom in April and May, and then only a few blooms her and there during the summer. I thought maybe Drosanthemum speciosum, or Delosperma Cooperi? But I really have no idea as so many of them look exactly the same to me. Thank you! ![]() |

It is some kind of iceplant. Could be Carpobrothus edulis, which may actually be considered an invasive plant in California. It is what it is! |

Yes, it is an ice plant. If I had to guess I'd say either of the two species Carly mentioned (sorry I know that doesn't really help) but not Carpobrotus which makes much fatter leaves that are triangular in cross section, and more substantial flowers. |

Thank you, I know it's so hard to tell! I'll try to take closer photos. |

Carly, I'll bet most of your local nurseries have it now. |

Carol, That's a great idea I'll look around. Thank you 😊 |
