Thanks for the kinds words and the acorn, folks.

This is a shot of the desert in Cataviña where exotic giant succulent trees grow. Just about all the plants on the horizon are the 3 identified at the start of this chat thread.

The thread "Cactus and succulents chat" in Cactus and Succulents forum

They are also quite stunning in cultivation, just very slow to reach any appreciable size. Smiling

Nice banner
Prudence, indeed, will dictate that Governments long established should not be changed for light and transient causes; and accordingly all experience hath shewn, that mankind are more disposed to suffer, while evils are sufferable, than to right themselves by abolishing the forms to which they are accustomed.

Be content moving inch by inch because, by days end, the inches, will add up to feet and yards.

Thanks, everyone! Smiling I go through photos every so often looking for banner-worthy slices, and in this particular picture all the plants were happening along a narrow strip between light and darkness, so it was an obvious pick.

Thank You!

I clicked on the garden site from my email this morning and the page opened up with your banner showing. It took my breath away and I immediately knew that today is going to be a great day.
