Well, the dutch iris in the back mid yard bed started blooming. These are planted between the TB iris in that backyard bed.

I had troubles for the first two years I tried to grow Dutch iris. Those were the years I planted them in late spring and only afew would ever grow. Almost none bloomed. Finially I did it the right way and planted in the fall with the rest of the bulbs I plant in fall like tulips and daffodils. That worked great and this is now the second sporing for my dutch iris. But I doubt they would over winter in zone 5.
